Burst and Integrity Test

Screen Shot coming soon!
Burst and Helium Leak Test Stations are located on the assembly line after brazing of the refrigerant circuit is complete. The operator at this station connects to the unit via a Hi and Lo side hose connected to a test station valve board.

The computer at this station prompts the operator to scan the unit serial number created at the Lay In station in order to look up the unit model number and load the Model specific Program. This Program defines the parameters for the burst and helium leak tests. The operator is then prompted to exit the room and press the Start button. The system conducts a UL Burst Test, a pressure decay test and a Helium Leak Detection test with full reclaim sequences built in.

The data collected at this station includes:

   1. Testing Parameters
   2. Elapsed times to reach Lo Press Fill, Burst Press Fill, Vent set point, Vacuum set point, and Helium Fill
   3. Total Cycle Time
   4. Helium Sniff Time
   5. Start and Peak measured Helium Leak Rate
   6. Start decay test pressure
   7. Pass/Fail decay pressure
   8. Test Failure Messages
   9. Defect Codes
   10. Operator Comments

In addition to the software described above, software for this station includes the following:

   1. Test Definition software
   2. Program creation and editing software
   3. Results Lookup and Standard Reporting software
   4. Station Configuration Software
   5. Linear Calibration Software for analog devices
