Critical Component Verification

Critical Component Verification Stations are located at various locations along an assembly line where critical components are installed into the product. The computer uses the scanned serial number of the product to compare the correct BOM for that model against what is being installed. The results of each test are married to the serial number and stored in the database for tracking and reporting.

When these stations are in use they ensure that every unit that leaves the factory has the correct Critical Components installed. It also gives the factory the ability to refute warranty claims suggesting they received a unit missing a Critical Component. The factory can then lookup that unit with its serial number and verify the component was installed.
