Company Overview

LSI has gained a highly respected position in the controls engineering and integration arena by providing great service to our customers and staying at the front of the technology curve. After 20 years of implementing these technically advanced systems, LSI has grown to be the largest and most respected integrator in the Memphis region. Centrally located in both the US and Asia, our locations put us close to our manufacturing clients.

Corporate Profile

  • LSI was founded in 1985, in Memphis, TN and currently employs approximately 80 people in 5 offices and 6 locations. The 5 offices are in Bartlett, TN (Memphis), Jackson, TN, Rossville, GA, Golden, CO, and Guangzhou, China.
  • LSI was founded as a system integrator focused principally in controls and instrumentation. LSI's skill set has grown from PLC programming, HMI development, DCS configuration, and process control, to MES and APC. LSI is proud that even after 25 years in the business, their first customer remains a customer today.
  • LSI has experience in industries from Waste Water to Metals. The industries that LSI has the most expertise in are Beverage (Brewing), Food (sanitary), Flooring, and Pulp & Paper. Newer focuses on industries such as power generation and nuclear (non reactor) are primarily coming from out west.
  • In 1993, the Jackson office was founded primarily to support Procter & Gamble. It now employs 9 people and covers PCA (pulp and paper), Leroy Somer (Mobile power units), LyondellBasell (Plastics), and Berstorff (Krauss-Maffei) (OEM extrusion products) as major accounts.
  • The Rossville, GA office was an acquisition made in 2007. LSI bought Hi Tech systems, which was primarily focused on the flooring industry in and around the Dalton, GA area, as well as a few water/wastewater clients. The Georgia office's largest clients are the Shaw and Mohawk flooring companies. The Georgia office currently employs 8.
  • The Golden, CO office was founded in March of 2008 to support the MillerCoors account. There are now 21 full time employees with several more in the process of being hired. Several new frontiers are being explored in Colorado, with the largest being the Power and Energy sector. The natural gas and oil shale industries on the western slope present exciting opportunities for LSI. The power sector, particularly in boiler optimization in coal fired power plants, is becoming big business for LSI.
  • The office in Guangzhou, China (officially named ELA – Efficient Logical Automation) was started in 2005 primarily to serve LSI's existing customers, like National Starch and Procter & Gamble, who needed a more localized support infrastructure with a company who understood “western quality.” Hansen Hu worked for LSI in Bartlett for 2 years before starting the China office. His understanding of both the technology and the two cultures (US and Chinese) has been instrumental in the growth of this office, which now employs 9 people direct and has developed partnerships with local companies for both panel fabrication and  installation work. LSI services clients such as P&G, DuPont, Fedex, Excel Polymers, and Henkel from our Guangzhou office.
