A client that manufactures industrial power generation equipment contacted LSI in hopes of improving their testing capacity on their production line. After visiting their facility, LSI determined that they needed a new test board (a 4 pole/6 pole generator tester) in order to achieve the desired testing capacity of nearly three times the current rate. HMI Applications
A leading manufacturer of specialty chemicals was experiencing several problems with their HMI application systems, their server communications, as well as their data collection. LSI was called in to improve operations.

On Line Seasoning
One of our clients in the food industry was having their marketing team hindered because they were unable to make both large and small orders in a reasonable amount of time. They brought in LSI looking to increase their flexibility by being able to vary their order sizes without causing excess downtime. More… Beverage Controls
A long time customer made a commitment to expanding and improving the production facilities at one of their manufacturing sites. While the site had islands of automation, the process was 1950’s vintage. As the scope definition grew and vendors were chosen, the project team came to realize that managing this technology influx was more than they, or for that matter any typical integrator, could handle. So they turned to Logical Systems to manage and implement millions of dollars in new control strategies. More… Food Processing Controls
Who would you call when you purchase three cake and frosting production lines that have to be disassembled, moved hundreds of miles, and reassembled? A major food processor trusted Logical Systems for the controls portion of such a project. Having many years of experience in the Food & Beverage industry, LSI was well prepared to meet the challenge. More…
Dry End Repulping System
A complete new high capacity paper machine dry end repulping system was installed to replace an obsolete system. The old system could not keep pace with the physical rejects coming off the rewinder and layboy, resulting in costly warehousing of non-prime product. LSI personnel performed significant project functions that led to a successful installation. More… Jordan Capacity Increase
A request came in from a mill for an estimate to add three additional jordans to an existing system --- a forty percent increase in capacity to keep up with paper machine production. A field study determined that one half of the existing units were being operated in an over-speed condition and the reliability and rewind time of the old 480 volt synchronous motors was keeping units off line excessively. More… Low Consistency Pulp Feed System
A complete low consistency feed system was delivered to meet the requirements of a fully agitated slurry with completely clean product pull outs to maintain prime quality at product grade changes. The major components of the twelve metric ton system included the thirty foot diameter elevated tank, pilings and ring wall foundation, top mounted agitator, and the sloped tank bottom with center pump suction discharge. More… Medium Consistency Storage
Two bleached stock storage towers were installed with a total capacity of two hundred metric tons at thirteen percent consistency. These functioned to provide available tonnage to the paper machines as grade changes were made in the digesting and bleaching processes as well as reliability surge for upstream processes in the event of paper machine downtime.More… Paper Machine Refiner
A new Beloit double disc refiner, supporting equipment, and controls were installed upstream of the stuff box at a local mill. The installation provided a crucial capability to make adjustments to fiber lengths that fell on the high side of the specification as delivered by the upstream jordaning process. More…
Global Expansion? No Problem.
When a customer has a need on the other side of the world, there are many questions added to a project specification. These include, “What vendor can support that site?”; “How can we support that site?”; and “Can we accomplish this in an economical fashion?” More…
