Panel Shop Foreman
Under the direction of the management, the Panel Shop foreman will oversee and direct panel shop fabricators. The foreman will be responsible for updating shop management on current project status and shop needs.
Foreman will perform the various tasks of a panel fabricator including: utilizing schematics to wire electrical control panels, cutting holes in enclosures, and mounting components. The foreman must have a strong working knowledge of electrical schematics, electrical components, electrical troubleshooting, and electrical codes and best practices.

- Maintain a safe working environment through improved housekeeping, enforcement, education of safety regulations, plant conduct rules, methods and layout improvements
- Analyzes the product design and the associated operations methods, procedures and processes with respect to safety, cost, quality, reliability and availability: takes corrective and preventative
action as needed - Read and interpret wiring diagrams, point to point wiring schedules, and schematics
- Plan and coordinate with Panel Shop Manager the current and prospective project schedules
- Resolve inconsistencies in drawings and discrepancies in paperwork during the assembly process
- Use common hand tools to prepare and assemble components, din rail and wire duct to complete electrical panels to print
- Field wiring of control cabinets into machinery if needed
- Work closely with electrical engineering team to resolve any issues.
- Assist Engineers and Electrical Control Technicians testing and troubleshooting
- Work with purchasing and receiving department to plan receipt of components
- Arranges for packing and shipment of panels
- Maintain panel shop to be clean and functional
Required Job Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience (minimum) in panel/machine wiring
- Ability to read electrical prints / schematics
- Must be familiar with PLC, power supply and VFD wiring techniques
- Experience with many makes and models of components, how to install, and how to wire
- Proficiency with industrial electric codes and practices including UL (UL508A, UL 698A, etc), NEC, IEC, ANSI, and OSHA
- Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs.
- Must be able to remain on feet for extended periods of time, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull, climb, balance, and at times perform manual labor
