We are pleased to welcome Ken Frische as Director of OT Cybersecurity based out of our Rossville, GA office. In this role, Ken will lead the effort to grow LSI’s market presence and enhance our service offerings in the vital area of Operational Technology cybersecurity, ensuring our clients have access to leading-edge protection for their critical systems.

Ken comes to us with over 30 years of experience across the domains of IT, OT, and DevOps. He brings a wealth of knowledge acquired from extensive work in the industry. Ken recently helped build the Cybersecurity practice for 1898 & Co. (a division of Burns and McDonnell) after a long tenure at InSource Solutions, where his connection to LSI began. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Purdue University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Oklahoma, and is certified as an Agile ScrumMaster, AWS Cloud Architect, CISSP, C|EH, PMP, and Pragmatic Product Manager.

Q&A with Ken
To get to know Ken better, we asked him a few questions as he begins his new role with LSI.
How did your professional journey bring you to LSI?
I have maintained contact and friendship with some LSI employees for over 20 years. A discussion with them inspired a new journey.
What value does LSI deliver on the cybersecurity front?
LSI knows their client’s system very well, as they have been hands-on in these control systems and networks. It makes sense then that they would be well-positioned to pair their knowledge and experience with cybersecurity services and provide the complete spectrum of cyber services to include Risk Assessment, Risk Mitigation, Monitoring, and Boots-on-the-Ground Response and Recovery.
What trends in your field are you most excited about?
While the hype of AI is prevalent, it does have real merit in the realm of systems monitoring, effectively the evolution of Machine Learning systems. This represents a significant opportunity to reinvent the existing market offerings to provide the full spectrum of cybersecurity services at a higher value and lower cost.
Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing in your free time? Any favorite hobbies or interests?
I write and produce (what I like to call) Alternative Christian Rock; specifically, songs with a great tune and story that pulls the listener in and let them do the contemplation. I recently completed a production class, and I will be producing my first release to SoundCloud within the next few months. My cover name is Kenneth Edward 😊
